The fourth wasn't as exciting as we'd hoped. This year family didn't use the 4th as a reunion day so we planned several local things to do to celebrate. We were really excited to enjoy it just the three of us, go to the activities at the park, maybe a bike ride or two, feed the ducks, etc. Whelp that didn't happen. Mommy's stomach hurt too much she couldn't leave and then half way through the day Mason threw up. It was hot dogs. It worried him to the point he kept talking about it all day. So we had to make a few adjustments to our plans and we stuck around home. I love my two year old, because it didn't matter to him. He had fun anyway.
Mason went to bed, but was woken up by the fireworks. I don't really think he'd fallen asleep so we scooped him up and went outside. Luckily we could see several fireworks from our own backyard. The loud ones Mason insisted were too scary, but he loved the colorful ones.
And then life continued and here are a few more things we've done this week.
