January has been great. Very normal, nothing new. Until today ...
SNOW DAY! No it's an actual snow day. So here in Western Oregon they tend to have "snow days" when the rain is cold enough to turn to ice on the road. Yeah, that makes sense. No cars or bus' are technically prepped to handle ice. But it was getting ridiculous. For a bit the ice rain teased us by turning white. No not snow, just white cubes of ice on the ground. Then it snowed, just enough to call it snow but it always rained later in the day and the snow disappeared. We have been so excited to see those morning skiffs of snows and then today happened!
It was magical! Started off with ice falling from the sky. Which sounded so cool on the roof. It looked like small pieces of hale falling for a whole hour. Then they changed into the biggest feathers drifting to the ground. HUGE FLAKES. They were lovely and they just kept coming. So naturally we ran outside.
It took a few hours but we got enough snow to cover all the green grass. I can't tell you how good that feels. After it stopped snowing a light rain returned and I had to take Tanner back inside.
As he is with most everything new, Tanner wasn't too excited but he enjoyed looking around and experiencing the snow ... until he landed face first in it. But he's good. :D

So darling/fun and GREAT photography!! Love you guys...
