The other day at the splash pad, Mason skinned his big toe. That's a hard one to treat because no band-aid fits the end of the big toe all that well. Also Mason tends to walk on his toes, so he had to learn how to walk on his heels. He wouldn't let me touch it the first day and it kept breaking open and bleeding all over the place, which scared him even more so finally we managed to put a band-aid and a sock over it and he's been letting it heal. This morning he told me to take a picture 'cause it looked good.
I look forward to the day he graduates from medical school and I can share this experience and how much a simple little band-aid terrified him.
