TK's 4th Birthday

Black and White Head Shots!
I was taking pictures of my amazing birthday boy and totally fell in love all over again. He giggled, He laughed. He cheesed and he gave me the eyebrows.
I adore the simplicity of black and white. The uncomplicated clarity of the subject that often gets overlooked when the color overpowers the photo. The scary part is, this boy has turned 4 today, and now with these headshots, it looks like he's ready for an audition.

I love his birthday. For the whole week before it, the stories we tell about his adoption really start to make sense to him. And the opportunity we have to reflect on the little blessings leading up to his birth fill our days with gratitude.
With that feeling alone we walk a little taller and manage to shrug off those daily struggles that usually feel so overwhelming.
4 years ago Heavenly Father sent the little guy to earth. He is my comedian. He is my superhero. He is my cuttle bug. He is laughter. He is my scrapper. He is TK.
