My Six Year Old

There he is. This boy was a dream in my mind and a prayer in my heart for the longest time. I vividly remember wanting to be a mom so badly and then we were blessed with the most amazing miracle. I still have a hard time believing it's been six years of living my dream. This kid has driven me crazy, made me laugh, made me cry, he's made me so deliriously happy and tired. I love him more than I ever knew possible.

Mason adores being a big brother most in the world. He takes such good care of his little brother, and yes still pushes him around a bit like all big brothers do. He is a wiz at Kindergarten and claims he is only a little bit faster than his best buddy Jett and Jett is the fastest runner in the whole class. Mason loves all things green. He can't wait to play soccer again and is super excited to play t-ball in a few weeks.

New talents are popping up every day, he's discovering he can dance and likes to sing. Playing the piano has been both fun and a challenge because practicing every day is super hard. He enjoys sewing and is always asking for me to help him sew something new, which I'm not good at to begin with so that's a challenge for me;).

His favorite color is still green and he's convinced he loves the Oregon Ducks. Although I'm pretty sure that's just because his friend Jett likes them. He loves the movie Coco and the Greatest Showman, Wreck it Ralf comes in a close second. His favorite TV shows are Androids and Digimon or anything about Dinosaurs. He still loves Emergency vehicles and is adamant he will be a fireman when he grows up. If not firetruck fireman he will fly a helicopter and put out fires that way.

We loved being 5. It was full of adventures and new friendships. Which means 6 is going to be just as amazing.

  1. Can't believe he is 6 already. That still was the best phone call ever! Also, if you ever find or invent a time/ pause button send it my way! :) By the way these pictures are awesome!
